Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule a reading?

1. Make payment using the paypal links on the readings page or email me at: fern@wisestars.net for an address to send a check

2. Send me three dates/times that are good for you for a reading appointment. I sometimes have same day appointments, so if you need a reading right away please let me know and I will see what I can do for you.

3. I will email you back with an appointment date and an intake form that has directions to my office if we are having an in-person reading or directions for skype if we are doing a long distance reading.

When is it a good time to get an astrology reading?

1. When you are going through a life transition and need perspective.
2. On or around your birthday.
3. When you are seeking a deeper connection with spirit or your own inner wisdom.
4. When you want an overview on your life gifts and challenges and an understanding of your past, present and future.

When is it a good time to get a tarot reading?

1. When you have a specific question in mind.
2. When you want to work with the rich visual imagery, archetypes and symbols of the tarot cards.

How do you accept payments?

I accept cash and checks (please make out to: Wisestars Astrology) or credit cards through Paypal. Payment is due at the time of your reading.

Readings are done in person in my office in Fairfax, CA
Or long distance by Skype chat or phone

Do you provide a recording of the reading?

I record your readings with a digital recorder and then upload it to a service called: yousendit.com. You can then download the recording for free within 7 days after I upload it. Please note that the recording is considered to be a gift and I cannot accept responsibility for defective recordings, computer mishaps or other technical difficulties. You are welcome to bring your own recording device to the reading as a back-up.
Skype chat readings create a written transcript, in-person readings do not include a written write-up, but you are more than welcome to take notes in addition to the recording.

What kinds of events do you do?

I’ve done readings, talks, presentations and workshops for: 17 Magazine, The Urban School, Literacy for Environmental Justice, Diana’s Grove, The Ruckus Society and many other businesses and organizations. I also do readings for private parties and gatherings. I can tailor a program or reading menu to meet your individual needs and those of your clients. I also have a network of readers, massage therapists and performers to draw on to fully enhance your event.

How can I learn more about astrology?

I offer private astrology lessons (long distance instruction by computer), group lessons, monthly classes and day long workshops. Please see the classes and events section of this website for more info. There is also a comprehensive book list ranging from beginning to advanced on the resources page.
